Redeeming a eCertificate Online

Before you can redeem a eCertificate through the eStore, you need to enter that eCertificate into your personal eCertificate balance.

Here’s how:

Click on My eCertificates.
You will be prompted to log in, if you haven’t already done so.
Enter the eCertificate number in the box marked eCertificate#.
Click the Add To Balance button.
That’s it! Your balance will update and you can use this eCertificate at any time until it expires.
Shop the eStore as you normally would.
When you check out, you will be given the option of using all or part of your eCertificate balance.

Online eCertificates

Online eCertificates are easy, efficient, and cost-effective, since the process is electronic and the eCertificates are not mailed to youóthus eliminating the shipping charge.

Online eCertificates work like a gift card from any retail store and can be used to redeem all or part of an order. If your order totals more than your eCertificate amount, you will be asked for a credit card number for the balance. If your purchase is less than the total amount, the balance will be held for you in your eCertificate balance on the eStore. It is important to be sure that your eCertificates are added to your balance (see How to Credit a eCertificate to Your Name, below).

You are not required to use a eCertificate, even if you have one. At checkout, the eStore will ask you to select a method of payment, at this point you may choose to use the eCertificate or not. More than one eCertificate may be combined as payment for one transaction.

If you have multiple eCertificates, the eStore will automatically use them in a ìfirst in, first outî sequence, so the oldest eCertificate is redeemed first.
Normal tax and shipping charges apply on all merchandise purchases. These charges can be covered by your eCertificate balance when you check out.

How To Purchase a eCertificate Online

Click on the Buy eCertificates link in the eCertificates box below the Shopping Cart.
Enter the quantity of eCertificates you wish to purchase, along with the other information requested. Required information is marked with an asterisk (*). Please note that the recipient’s email address is required for electronic delivery of the eCertificate.
If more than one eCertificate amount is available, then select the certificate amount from the drop-down box. If only one amount is available, the amount will already be filled in (for example, $25).
Type in a special message for the recipient in the box provided.
Click the Add to Cart button. The eCertificate will show up in your shopping cart.
Check out as you normally would.
The recipient will be notified via email that the eCertificate has been purchased. The email will contain a unique eCertificate number along with the text message you entered online.
eCertificates cannot be combined with other products in the same purchase.
Encourage recipients to enter that eCertificate on the eStore as soon as possible. Until it is ìbankedî online in My eCertificates, the eCertificate is the same as cash. See below for How to Credit a eCertificate To Your Name.

When You Want to Order Several Online eCertificates At The Same Time

Although email delivery of online eCertificates is the most secure option, it’s possible to order a few online eCertificates at one time, which may be convenient if you want to present several eCertificates as recognition in a meeting or similar situation.

Here’s how:

Order as above, by clicking on Buy eCertificates from the icon at the right.
Instead of sending each eCertificate to the recipient, send them to your own email address.
Print out each eCertificate confirmation to hand-deliver to the recipient.

Please note:

Recipients should be encouraged to credit the eCertificate to their own name/account as soon as possible (see How to Credit a eCertificate To Your Name, below). Until a eCertificate is credited or banked it is the same as cash.
Online eCertificates expire one year from the date of issuance, so be sure to distribute them promptly if you opt to distribute these in person.
You will receive separate email confirmations for each eCertificate ordered. For example, if you order five eCertificates this way, you will receive five separate email confirmations.

How to Credit a eCertificate to Your Name

Once you've received an online eCertificate and before you can redeem a eCertificate through the eStoreand to ensure its safety you need to enter that eCertificate into your personal eCertificate balance.

You can do this two ways:

If you receive an online eCertificate via email, it will contain a hot link to the eStore.
Click on the link in the email.
Log onto the eStore.
Verify the information on the screen.
Click: Add to Balance
That’s it! Your eCertificate is ìbankedî!

You can also bank a eCertificate by using the icon on the right, just click on My eCertificates.

You will be prompted to log in, if you haven’t already done so.
Enter the eCertificate number in the box marked eCertificate#.
Click the Add To Balance button.
That’s it! Your balance will update and you can use this eCertificate at any time until it expires (one year from the date of issuance online).

Redeeming Online eCertificates

It’s easy to use a eCertificate that is credited to your name on the eStore. Here’s what you do:

Shop as you normally would and select your products.
When you check out, you’ll be asked to choose a payment method. This box will only show if you have a balance in your eCertificate account.
The box is already checked for you to use your eCertificate. You may also enter how much of your eCertificate balance you want to use for this orderóyou may use all or part of your balance.
If you do not wish to use your eCertificate at this time, uncheck the box.
Proceed through checkout as you normally would.
The eCertificate amount will show on your PlaceOrder information screen.

eCertificates received online can also be redeemed when you call in an order. Call Customer Service at 1-800-793-9856.

Expiration Dates for eCertificates

Online eCertificates expire one year from the date of purchase. To help customers manage their online eCertificate balances, the eStore will use the oldest eCertificate first when the eCertificate payment option is selected. In addition, an automatic reminder email message will be sent to the recipient about 30 days prior to the expiration date.
